Digital Fabrication Lab

RULES

1. Show UP

Everyone is busy and time is always limited.  If you sign up for a cut time or a print time then you need to show up.  If you miss more than ONE cut time per term the faculty supervisor reserves the right to eliminate your cut/print privileges.

2. Use your time

It is recommend that you arrive at least five min. prior to your cut time to allow the lab assistant time to upload your file.  During peak use (i.e. midterm or finals) jobs that exceed the 15 minute slot will be stopped on the 15 minute mark to allow the next student to begin.  Do not consider extra cut time a certainty, that is a luxury.

3. You are 100% responsible

Clean up every scrap of material that you bring into the DFL; you carry out everything and/or dispose of it properly per the lab assistants instructions.

4. The DFL is not a store room

No projects, cut pieces or materials will be stored there without permission of the faculty supervisor.  Everything left in the DFL is subject to be disposed of at the end of each day.

5. The DFL is not a work space

You may not work on, assemble, or finish your project within the DFL under any circumstances.

6. Lab Assistants

Are happy to help answer questions but NOT during cut time slots.  Please e-mail any DFL employee or the faculty supervisor with questions or set up an appointment to discuss your project.

If you need assistance contact the Faculty Supervisor,
